Job description: Position Summary

Lifeline is hiring an IT Desktop Support & Database Administrator to support our growing team. Under the direction of the IT Director, this position is responsible for providing comprehensive help desk support and building out Lifeline’s electronic health record (ETO) and Lifeline’s IT ticketing system database (SysAid). This is a mid-level role that will support the agency’s growing workforce and data collection needs.

We’re looking for a candidate who is well-versed MS Office, Windows Server 2016, 2019, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VOIP telephone technology, Zoom applications, networking, group policy and HIPAA security policies. This role requires independent analyses, effective communication, good interpersonal skills, and efficient problem solving. The day-to-day responsibilities include working closely with staff at all levels to provide comprehensive desktop support and ensure our data appropriately “tells the Lifeline story” of our services.

Required Qualifications

BS degree or equivalent experience in information systems or related field. Ability to work as part of a team and under the supervision of the IT Director. Ability to upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair computer system hardware, firmware, and drivers. Fundamental knowledge MS Windows, web navigation, network and web security, TCP/IP networking and WiFi technology. Working knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2019, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VOIP telephone technology, networking, group policy and HIPAA security policies. Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines on a routine basis. Ability to adapt to shifting and changing priorities. Ability to type efficiently & accurately (> 40 wpm). Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of computers, docking stations, mobile phones, peripherals, and software.
  • Meet with staff to assess data collection needs, outline a development strategy, and build out ETO & SysAid software to spec.
  • Effectively balance ongoing software development with desktop support tasks.
  • Train and orient staff on the use of software and network resources.
  • Label, deploy, and maintain inventory and equipment tracking.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance in all aspects of the job.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Schedule/Compensation

  • Full-time, non-exempt onsite
  • Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day
  • $32.00-$35.20/hr + bilingual pay. Salary commensurate with experience and education. EEO.

Additional Requirements

  • Must have a reliable vehicle, valid CA Driver License, insurance, registration, and a good driving record. Must make frequent trips to seven agency offices spanning from Oceanside to Escondido, and one office in Kearny Mesa.
  • Willing to use your own reliable, properly insured and registered vehicle for the job (mileage in excess of routine commute to Vista office is reimbursed).
  • Employment subject to clearances, including background finger printing checks, driving record, tuberculosis testing, and drug testing.

Expected salary: $32 – 35.2 per hour
