The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is looking for an IT Generalist 1 to perform IT lifecycle functions and the provision of after-hours IT Help Desk Support for personal computers and related equipment operating on the our enterprise network. Watch this to see how you can make a difference caring for Pennsylvania’s veterans working for the DMVA, then apply today and join us as an IT Generalist 1!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs an IT Generalist 1, you deliver, assemble, install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, equipment, and peripherals at DMVA worksite locations throughout the state. You provide after-hours IT Help Desk support services including statewide technical assistance on IT hardware and software for users at Fort Indiantown Gap and the veterans homes. Also, you troubleshoot and service computer hardware and software for end users. In addition, you receive calls, emails, and tickets for assistance and physically or remotely access users’ computers to collect diagnostics to resolve hardware and software problems.In this position, you serve as a liaison between IT and the end user community throughout problem resolution and serve as a vendor liaison when external support is required. You also provide direct follow-up to the end user community to ensure customer satisfaction. In addition, you monitor the current status of computers running on the network utilizing real-time data to detect and resolve interconnectivity and other problems to ensure continuous end-user functionality.Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.
- Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician; or
- One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
- Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
