Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects using the Agile project management methodology and client SDLC
  • Research, architect, prototype, document, and assist in implementing a project governance strategy/framework
  • Lead effort in the creation of project estimating guidelines, templates, standards, project status reporting, resource utilization and project scheduling and planning
  • Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects
  • Act as an over-sight for project management efforts by team members
  • Monitor and assess progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met
  • Responsible for documentation of all processes, guidelines, and procedures and ensures that all documents are kept current
  • Evaluate, determine, and document specific requirements related to projects and translate those requirements into resource and deliverable based roadmap with target release dates for accomplishment
  • Present to leadership, stakeholders and/or governance groups, the vision and strategy of the project, the roadmap of planned deliveries, and capabilities to be delivered in each sprint
  • Provide routine reporting of project milestones, risks, impediments, and escalation requirements
  • Build effective team relationships to synergistic accomplished goals
  • Oversee the development of internal and external strategic communication and reporting maintain alignment among the business partners and IT delivery partners
  • Oversees program risk management, assisting with assessing/mitigating risk for current projects
  • Establish and maintain meeting cadence with program stakeholders as required in the Performance Work Statement (PWS)
  • Manage the Project Management Plan (PMP) and other associated subsidiary plans within the PMP
  • Oversees the Quality Control activities ensuring the QCP is consistently and effectively implemented
  • Manage and conduct Transition-In activities as required in the Transition-In plan
  • Manage cross-organizational coordination as required in support of project delivery

Qualifications

  • Project Management certified (PMP)
  • Ability to run project across the full lifecycle of the project
  • Experience managing and communicating with Stakeholders
  • Experience with Scrum and Agile Methodologies
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement/Continuous Development (CI/CD) projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience developing communication strategies
  • Ability to communicate/present complex or technical computer concepts and terms to a broad spectrum of employees and managers.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of process design, project estimation, Microsoft Project, as well as risk assessment, mitigation and quality control
  • Ability to translate project activities into executive-level reports, correspondence, and presentations
  • Experience managing a detailed Project Management Plan containing other subsidiary plans
  • Must be able to perform project tracking through clear and concise status reports and time management reporting
  • Has direct responsibility for project budget and resources
  • Accountable for delivery of the project and project deliverables on time, on budget and on scope
  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project
  • Conversant with a variety of the following: SQL, SQL Server, .NET, ASP, HTML, XML/XSLT, ETL, MS Sharepoint, Stellent, Crystal Reports, MS Visio, MS Office

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related scientific /technical discipline plus 6+ years’ experience

Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance

  • Remote

Salary Information:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $154,750 to $175,000.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
