This position will provide 1st- 3rd level support of security services which includes implementation and administration of network security hardware and software, enforcing the network security policy, and working with other support teams to meet the enterprise business needs of our customers. This will include troubleshooting incidents, collaborating with the Security Operations Center, providing escalation support for Level 2 Operations, and providing problem resolution. Support of the ongoing network security program and providing day-to-day support for related incidents are the main focus areas.
Key Duties, Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
– Works from established procedures with limited instruction.
– Assist in the development and enhancement of procedures.
– Performs moderately difficult assignments, requiring a great deal of originality and problem solving.
– Working knowledge of project management concepts
– Complies with information security policies.
– Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.
– Analyze traffic logs and develop least privilege segmentation policy in support of the ongoing network segmentation program.
– Day-to-day project and operational tasks such as Guardicore request and incident management.
– Administration of the Guardicore solution and related Guardicore infrastructure.
– Conduct assessments of Guardicore security policy and drive remediation of findings as needed.
– Develop/maintain operational documentation and lead knowledge transfer/training sessions across technical teams as needed.
– Be able to work closely with 2nd and 3rd level Network Engineers, the Security Operations Center, as well as other teams
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
– At least 2 years of experience working in a network security administration/operational role supporting Guardicore policy development and troubleshooting related incidents.
– Guardicore Certified Segmentation Administrator (GCSA)
– A four year computer science or related technical degree or equivalent work experience.
– Previous network segmentation experience required.
– Proven ability to communicate in the written/spoken language with audiences of diverse technical understanding.
– Proven ability to be a self-starter with self-motivation for learning new technologies.
– Basic knowledge of network security, intrusion detection systems, authentication mechanisms, encryption technologies, and networking protocols including SMTP, HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and SNMP.
– Self-starter; motivated to tasks through to completion.
Will be “on call” for after hours support every 4-5 weeks. (On call schedule will be for entire week)
