Job description: Under general direction, manages the day-to-day operations of an assigned functional area (PCC Southeast Campus) within Information Technology. Participates in the development, recommendation, and administration of policies, procedures and processes in support of assigned functional area within the department.   • Experience managing support teams, and supporting students, faculty, staff and the general public from a client servicecustomer service perspective.
  • Demonstrated skill in time management, communication, and prioritization.
  • Experience in working through difficult situations and collaborating with others to resolve issues.
  • Communication skills related to keeping management updated on issues related to our client service and equipment status in our labs.
  • Experience supporting large computing environments, classrooms and computer labs.
  • Experience with project planning and management for large-scale system implementation projects, which includes: technology assessment, RFP creation, vendor negotiation, implementation planning, testing, documentation, communication, and budgeting.
  • Experience with reviewing and documenting departmental expenditures related to hardware, software, equipment, and supplies, which includes coordinating the processing of purchase orders, blanket PO’s, and purchasing card transactions, verifying that account coding is correct and the appropriate budget is available.

Minimum QualificationsTo be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science discipline. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Five years progressively responsible, professional information technology experience related to area of assignment, including two years of management-level supervision of employees (including hiring, assessment, discipline, etc)..Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with supervising technical/support staff. Hires, evaluates, trains, disciplines and recommends dismissal of staff as necessary.
  • Experience with supervising technical/support staff related to operational workflow. Tracks, assigns work/tasks, monitor progress via service tickets, handles escalations, ability to create ad hoc reports to help track work completion
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience supporting desktop and laptop computers (Windows and Mac) including troubleshooting techniques
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience working with computer software applications and tools (ex. MS Office, Adobe, Browsers, Google Suite & GoPrint)
  • Experience with develops, recommends, and administers policies, procedures, and processes in support of Technology operations in assigned area of responsibility; implements and monitors compliance with approved policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Experience with collecting and analyzing a variety of complex data and information. Performs statistical analysis and summarizes findings in applicable reports or other communication mediums.
  • Experience in project management for software and hardware technology update and deployments.
  • Experience with managing hardware and software tracking, which includes participating in the development of processes to track assets, manage and coordinate inventory, and/or other related activities. Works closely with vendor companies. Maintains vendor partnerships.
  • Experience in managing and participating in the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of applicable technologies and associated equipment.
  • Can effectively work independently or within a team, both as a leader or participating member.
  • Can participate in/on a variety of meetings, committees, task forces, and/or other related groups to communicate information regarding college-wide technology services, programs, areas of opportunity, and/or other pertinent information as appropriate.
  • Experience with serving as a liaison with other departments and stakeholders in order to provide information on available resources, programs, and/or services.

Position Grade L
Starting Salary Expectations Minimum $82,293 to range midpoint of $100,808. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Position Grade Salary Range $82293 to $119325 Annual Salary

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
